The proven framework to plan and shoot brand photos that turn almost-clients into repeat clients.
Quick yes/no show of hands….
When a new inquiry hits your inbox, does it feel like you’re gearing up for yet another uphill battle to prove your worth?
👉🏼 You send your rates and—bam—the interest vanishes.
👉🏼 Even with experience under your belt, landing projects still feels way harder than it should.
Or maybe you’re the unicorn who’s like:
“Nope, I’m booking dream clients
at my full rates on repeat.” 🦄
(and if that’s you—congrats, you can stop reading here).
Let’s be real- 2025 hasn’t exactly made booking brand sessions a walk in the park.
But I know you didn’t come here for bad news or commiserating!
If you want to solve this problem by next week, let’s talk about what brand photographers are actually up against right now:
🥊 Competition? Fiercer than ever.
🤖 The new kid on the block- AI, spitting out those cookie-cutter “smiling at a laptop” shots faster than you can say brand session.
If booking clients felt hard before, AI is only going to make that harder. These days, a business owner can snap one halfway-decent iPhone photo and spin it into a whole gallery of “professional-looking” images in minutes. And let’s be honest—some will settle for good enough.
I’m not trying to scare you (promise). But ignoring reality won’t help either.
So here’s the real question we need to answer:
How do you book a steady stream of clients who
see the value 👀—and happily pay your prices?
By offering what I call Push-The-Envelope brand sessions.
We’ll get to that in a sec.
But first…
Here’s the truth about most brand photographers right now:
Your photos are too polite to grab attention.
Yeah, I said it.
👉🏼 You’re (inadvertently) making your client look like everyone else
👉🏼 You’re selling photos… instead of delivering high-dollar marketing assets that let your clients charge more
👉🏼 You’re not landing repeat work…
...because your clients aren’t seeing the ROI.
But what if brand photography could be the total opposite:
✨ What if your images could push the edge of creativity, take up space, and demand attention?
✨ What if your client could look unlike any of their competitors?
✨ What if every photo turned into a marketing asset that drove results?
✨ And what if those results landed your clients better speaking gigs, book covers, albums, press features, collaborations—the kinds of wins that bring your clients back again and again?
The first time I pushed the creative
boundaries with a brand session,
It was 2019, and though my client had been photographed by a dozen+ other photographers, she was missing consistency throughout her brand assets.
She just needed a cohesive set of photos for her website and shop.
^That was it.^ That was the goal.
But I took a risk and got a little unhinged.
“Hear me out- what if instead, we shot… [insert my 3 pages of ideas
that she def didn’t ask for]”
“Sure! That sounds fun.”
…and then things went a bit viral. And I started getting inquiries from big names I’d only dreamed of hearing from.
Because it was DIFFERENT. It wasn’t the same old, smiling-at-a-laptop bore that the internet was already bored of. It was creative, out-of-the-box, and it demanded attention like nobody else was doing.
👇🏼 The session that changed everything!
I codified my system and began doing it for client after client, session after session. I began teaching the framework and getting my students
“I can’t believe these are my photos!” results.
And that’s when I realized I’d created… Push-the-Envelope brand photography.
Listen, I know the market is rough right now.
All that empty space on your calendar is keeping you up at night, but you’re lost on how to stand out… so once again, you’re back to doom-scrolling— sorry, RESEARCHING— in a quest for a trending hook that’ll bag a couple new followers.
In a world where 2025 has already felt like a decade,
what if booking brand clients was finally easy,
because your work sells itself?
What if you could finally achieve one-of-a-kind brand photos that thrill your clients and get you BOTH noticed? 👀
(^Which,^ BTW, is what makes for consistent referrals AND repeat clients ← the small business owner’s version of job security)
You know you’re capable of next-level results- you’re just… a little lost on HOW to get there.
But if you had turn-by-turn directions that
produce high-caliber results QUICKLY?
You’d be unstoppable.
This kind of feedback could be your new post-shoot norm…
…because you’d finally be capturing the type of It Girl brand photos that stand out from the masses, getting your clients noticed by their dream audience, and making YOU their hero.
You could be satisfied, THRILLED with your own work—confident that you're delivering *unquestionably valuable* photographs.
I walked into my first branding shoot with
NO idea what I was doing. ZERO.
No plan, no strategy—just hoping the Like button would be popping off on social. 🤦🏻♀️
Instead, my work blended into the background.
Smiling-at-a-laptop? Check.
Laughing over the shoulder? Check.
Cute-but-unreal poses? Triple check.
But my clients didn’t just need “pretty”—they needed photos that helped them sell.
👉🏼 The shift happened when I stopped treating photos like filler and started treating them like marketing assets.
And it paid off, big time.
Wanna check my receipts? My best client has invested $52,000 in photography with me in just two years.
In Cyndi’s words:
“Abby’s skill and dedication to her craft are unmatched. Her unique ability to capture the essence of a brand is a rare gift, and why she is our go photographer for our brand shoots”
Because the images we create don’t just look good—they generate sales.
THAT is the kind of work that gets you booked (and rebooked).
And now? I'm handing over my system!
Introducing...
The only course that teaches photographers a framework-based, customizable system for a creative approach that grows with you.
In my proven 6-step framework, we’ll get down to business: my education style is fluff-free and hard-hitting. I'll show you how to customize my system for YOUR business, so you can level up your results at your very 👏🏼next 👏🏼shoot 👏🏼.

How does it work?
Here's the process
Step 01
Tap the “Let’s Do This Thing!” button, pick your payment method, and enter your deets. You’ll get instant access to the course!
Step 02
Download the templates and worksheets, and get listening to Module 1- the remaining modules of BPA 2.0 will be released one a week over the next five weeks!
Step 03
Starting with your very next shoot, you’ll be waving buh-bye to the generic, lather-rinse-repeat method you used to use, and HEEEY! to mature, in-depth imagery. You’ll start every new client off with a cohesive, proven system that delivers the sort of images you and your clients have been dreaming of!
“Now that I've walked through BPA, I have confidence in myself as a brand photographer because I can walk my clients through a process that achieves the photos they need that have depth and aren't exact repeats of those I've taken for others.
I’ve got literal evidence of this- because the day we went over the shoot day module, I was actually in the middle of a brand photoshoot for a friend. We took a break for lunch and I tuned into the lesson and then afterward went back to shooting. *The photos I took after the module were a stark contrast to the ones before.* It wasn't that the photos before were bad, per se, however, the ones taken afterward were more thought out and had more depth in story because the 5 Layers of Depth were running through my mind, as well as the concept of maximizing each scene!”
- Rachael Curtis, Brand Photography Academy grad
Sure, you could approach branding the
same way you do weddings or portraits
… duct-taped together with the branding tips
you’re soaking up from TikTok & Reels.
After all, Frankenstein was cobbled together and he technically walked around (for a bit) 🧟♂️
But here’s the problem: without a strategic approach to shift from just documenting to creating marketing-driven imagery, your photos will fall flat. They’ll blend right into the masses.
And sneaking peeks at Pinterest mid-shoot? Not gonna cut it. Someone else’s brand strategy won’t help your client when their business has totally different goals, values, and strengths.
The truth? A patched-together 🧵 approach only works for so long before it unravels.
What you really need is a cohesive, proven method- one that builds on itself to create layered brand photos that actually speak to your client’s audience.
THAT is how you move from a patchy portfolio… to profitable performance.
“BPA met every gap I didn't even know was there… I've been shooting branding off and on for years. I knew I needed something more to go in-depth with my brand clients and this served that purpose!”
- Amy Allmand, BPA grad
“I feel so much more confident in how I approach branding photography, but it isn't just because I learned what I thought I needed, it was all the things I didn't even know I needed to know. Abby is a true branding/brand photography genius.”
- Amber Langerud, BPA grad
"I love that your approach to brand photography isn't one-size-fits-all. You teach + equip photographers with tools and processes to serve well, instead of giving a cookie-cutter formula.”
- Caity Kramer, BPA grad
"I have always kind of shied away from artificial lighting. I love how Abby shows that it takes time to figure it out and that is OKAY- I feel like so many other "experts" out there don't show that side of it, almost like "why can't you figure this out yet". Abby seems like the patient mentor who comes alongside you and encourages you."
- Lisa Lord
"I feel much more confident placing my lights. And omg feathering. I’ve been using flash for years. How was this this first time I felt like I truly understood that concept. I love how you explain things!"
-Amber Langerud
"Your tips of positioning your lights in the same direction as the ambient light, and feathering were GAME changers. The way you broke things down into steps is SUPER helpful. It provides a formula to start with, and steps to follow to completion. And as a photographer, if I feel like I can just work through the steps, it gives me confidence to jump in and do it!"
- Caroline Hurdt

Try my 15-Day Love It
or Leave It Policy
My number one priority here is empowering photographers. And that means publishing the HIGHEST quality of education possible. If within 15 days you’ve made your way through the material and don’t think it was worth the investment, just answer a few quick questions for me and we’ll buy it back!
Hello! Is it me you’re looking for?
I’m Abby Grace- brand photographer, educator, and podcaster
And I’m in love with helping small business owners communicate with their VISUALS what they're already saying with their words, so they can reach the dream clients they’re dying to serve!
My clients have gone on to use their images in six-figure launches, seven-figure business models, and pop up in places like Forbes, NBC’s TODAY with Jenna & Friends, CNBC, and HGTV Magazine!
I’ve had the joy of teaching more than 1,000 students and now, I’m pulling back the curtain on how to build a recognizable, well-loved brand photography business that gets you AND your clients noticed.
→ I believe with every fiber of my being that you are CAPABLE of creating targeted, strategic imagery to help your clients stand out and sell more!
Fluff is only good in marshmallow form- you won’t find any of that in BPA. Here’s how to know if this course is right for you:
You leave your sessions feeling… meh. You know they could have been epic, but instead they feel like “just another shoot.” You can’t quite put your finger on what’s missing.
You’re dying to make brand photography a sustainable offer (maybe even leave weddings/families behind), but something isn’t clicking. You’re so close you can taste it—and the gap between you and fully booked feels maddening.
You’ve Googled “how to price brand photography” more times than you can count, and every answer feels wrong. You’re undercharging, overdelivering, and secretly starting to resent the very clients you wanted so badly.
Your shoots feel a little chaotic: running behind, juggling too many expectations, and clients aren’t even sure what’s included. Are they getting headshots? Lifestyle? Products? (Meanwhile, you’re just trying to keep up.)
I’m one of those people who’ll tell it to you straight if I don’t think you need what I’m selling.
If you’re a branding photographer who already has a solid roster of clients under your belt, whose system runs like a well-oiled machine, and who’s already confident in your track record of capturing images that make your creative heart sing and help your clients stand out + sell more... my friend, you probably don’t need this course!
A few FAQs for you, because you and I?
We’re both the type to ask questions!
Q: I’ve been shooting branding photography for a while now… is this going to be too basic for me?
A: Nope. When I beta-tested this course, I brought in students from all levels—total beginners to a few years in. If you’re looking for a method that creates strategy-driven, creative results (not cookie-cutter sessions), you’ll find plenty here to take your work to the next level.
Q: Wait, but what if I’ve NEVER shot a branding session? Will this go over my head?
A: Not at all. I walk you through my entire process—from what to include on your contact page to pitching dream clients. Think of it as a crash course that gives you a proven, step-by-step system to land and deliver your very first session.
Q: I’m dying to get a few weekends back, but don’t really have time to learn an entirely new craft- how long will this take?
A: BPA is plug-and-play. If you’re pressed for time, the GPTs alone will save you hours—drop in your client’s details and generate a draft plan + shot list in minutes. Students who commit to the process see the best results, but you’ll feel the time savings right away.
Q: Will you teach me how to use my camera?
A: BPA focuses on the strategy + business of brand photography. You’ll see my gear in action during BTS videos, but you’ll need a solid grasp of your own camera to get the full value here!
Q: I’m nervous about the investment- is there a payment plan?
A: You bet. Pay in full today and save, or spread it out into 12 monthly payments of $137.
Q. Can I sign up anytime?
A: You sure can!
Q: What if I have questions while I’m going through the course?
A: You’ll have access to a private student FB group! That’s where I’ll answer questions directly, and it’s the best way to get support from our team!
Q: I’ve been shooting weddings and portraits for a while now, why is branding any different?
A: Brand photography requires a mindset shift—from documenting relationships to planning like a strategist. Apply the same approach you use for weddings, and you’ll miss the mark. BPA teaches you how to create images that actually help your clients grow their business.
Q: Is this for personal brands, commercial brands, or both?
A: BPA is designed for small businesses—some are personal brands, others are brand-focused. What it’s not is product photography or big-name corporate campaigns. This course is for photographers who want to work with solopreneurs and small-but-mighty teams..
Sure, you could keep piecing things together on your own. But let’s be honest- you don’t have time (or bandwidth) to keep “figuring it out.” You need this to be profitable, like, yesterday.
If you just had a system, a proven plan, you’d be unstoppable. 💪🏼
That’s what Brand Photography Academy gives you: a shortcut to go from forgettable photos to strategic, scroll-stopping images that thrill your dream clients.
Inside Brand Photography Academy I’ll help you
Walk into every session with a clear plan (no more guessing what comes next)
Dream up creative ways to showcase your clients’ brands—making them stand out, and making you the hero 🦸🏽♂️
Book with confidence, knowing you’ll deliver work worth every penny
Raise your rates, fill your calendar, and keep clients coming back for more
Let’s get you out of the trial-and-error cycle and into a system that actually works. Join me inside BPA and start creating the It Girl, standout work you know you’re capable of.
